Business Unit Lead - Rare Diseases - Building Australian affiliate

Exciting times ahead as this rapidly growing international biopharmaceutical company dedicated to delivering life-changing therapies for rare disease patients, continues its growth in the Australian market.  As geographic expansion is an important aspect of their strategy, they have established an Australian subsidiary and are looking for a Business Unit Lead who will drive their pre-launch and  launch strategy and lead the commercial function as the business grows. 
  
Reporting to the Regional Director APAC, you will have responsibility for:

  • Pre-launch and market preparation activities for their rare disease portfolio in Australia
  • Supporting local market access strategy for their product portfolio
  • Co-developing and executing the cross-functional operational and brand plans
  • Ensuring sales objectives and business growth are achieved for in-line products
  • Partnering with and supporting the the Australian Medical Lead and global cross-functional teams
  • Developing the culture and expansion of the local affiliate


As the successful candidate you will need to have:

  •  Proven track record as a Commercial leader within the pharmaceutical industry; as well as demonstrate   leadership without authority
  •  Strong strategic and executional marketing experience
  •  Preferably rare diseases experience in pre launch and launch activities
  •  Excellent customer relationship building, communication and collaboration skills
  •  Ability to prioritize and make decisions across many key objectives in   multiple TA's
  •  An ability to work in an agile and fast paced environment
