GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS & POLICY | PHARMACEUTICALS

Melbourne | Senior Manager / Associate Director

Want to make a real impact on healthcare policy and patient access to innovative medicines?

We’re partnering with a global pharmaceutical company with a strong heritage in chronic disease and a growing focus on rare cancers and rare neuromuscular conditions.

With an exciting pipeline and important policy developments ahead, this is an opportunity to help shape the external environment and make a meaningful difference for patients.

The opportunity

  • Lead government affairs and policy engagement across Australia, building trusted relationships with key federal government stakeholders.

  • Shape policy positions and contribute to national consultations and healthcare policy reform.

  • Represent the business across industry forums, working groups and external stakeholder discussions.

  • Help influence the future of medicines access and ensure the patient perspective remains part of the conversation.

  • Work closely with Market Access, Medical and Patient Affairs in a collaborative, close-knit team where your contribution will be visible.

About you

You’ll bring experience in government affairs, public policy or external engagement, ideally within pharmaceuticals or healthcare. You’ll be confident navigating the Australian federal government landscape, building relationships across the political spectrum and translating complex policy issues into constructive, practical outcomes.

We’re open to candidates from pharmaceutical industry roles, government, ministerial offices or health policy backgrounds who bring the right experience, relationships and passion for improving patient outcomes.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role with the autonomy to lead the government affairs and policy agenda, backed by an experienced leader and a genuinely collaborative culture.

If you’re motivated by meaningful work, shaping policy and improving access to innovative medicines, we’d love to hear from you.
