Market Access and Pricing Lead - 12 month contract

This niche biopharmaceutical company are leaders in driving innovation in the areas they specialise. As part of their commitment to innovation; they have developed a pipeline of products that they will launch over the next 5 years that will positively impact the lives of many Australians living with these diseases. To join their team, they would like to find a Market Access and Pricing Lead to drive the reimbursement efforts (pricing strategy and submission process) of their specialty portfolio.
Reporting to the Head of Access, Pricing and External Engagement, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the development of the access and pricing strategy for products across their full lifecycle
- Input and support in planning and execution of all reimbursement functions to ensure the reimbursement of their products on the PBS, including leading negotiations with Health Technology Assessment
- Development of pricing cases for new and listed products for internal approval
- Completing all required pricing cases and input into business cases to gain approval to proceed with new indications and products
- Working with internal stakeholders to address feedback and questions in order to secure internal approvals
- Working with external vendors through the submission process
- Collaborating with local and global cross functional teams
To successful candidate should have:
- Degree in Health Economics, Health Research, Pharmacy or related discipline
- A proven track record within Market Access/Reimbursement within the pharmaceutical industry in ANZ
- Knowledge of the local pricing and reimbursement system
- Understanding of the process for listing medicines on the PBS, including pre-submission and submission requirements
- A track record of success within the PBS listing/reimbursement process, reimbursement submission development, negotiation, policy shaping and analysis
- Strong influencing ability and excellent communication skills
