This niche biopharmaceutical company is a market leader in their specialty area. With a strong portfolio of products including treatment for rare disease, and a reputation for excellence in this space, they are highly respected and set for continued growth. They are passionate, entrepreneurial and agile and have demonstrated their ability to excel with a lean team in competitive markets.
It is an exciting time to join this team as their General Manager where you will have the opportunity to lead a team of seasoned leaders and take this business to its next phase of growth.
Reporting to the GM, International Markets, you will have responsibility for:
- Ownership and responsibility of P&L and sales revenue of the ANZ business
- Leading and developing your Commercial and Medical teams
- Develop and execute local business strategy in line with global strategy
- Oversee and manage budget and financial forecast aligned with the P&L
- Drive integration of the local company culture in line with the global company’s values and behaviours
- Develop a deep understanding of the external business environment, competitors and emerging trends to influence and drive sales in a highly competitive environment
- Monitor and ensure timely distribution of agreed financial reports
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with major customers, relevant government departments, agencies, local authorities, key decision-makers and other key external stakeholders.
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Proven experience as a General Manager in ANZ
- Extensive leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- P&L ownership experience
- Collaborative, inclusive and hands-on style to leadership
- Experience across a breadth of therapy markets
- Strong communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with an excellent business judgement
- Ability to work in a lean, highly dynamic organisation
- Demonstrated capability operating in a global structure.
