This niche biopharmaceutical company are leaders in driving innovation in the areas they specialise. As part of their commitment to innovation; they have developed a pipeline of products that they will launch over the next 5 years that will positively impact the lives of many Australians living with these diseases. To join their dynamic Market Access team, they would like to find a senior Market Access Manager to support the team, leading to positive reimbursement outcomes for their portfolio in ANZ. 

Reporting to the Head of Access, Sustainability and External Engagement, your will:   

  •  Lead the development and implementation of market access strategies for new and existing products, ensuring alignment with the broader business objectives.
  • Oversee the pricing strategy and support pricing submissions for products with key stakeholders, including the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) and other relevant bodies.
  •  Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including government agencies, payers and healthcare professionals, to facilitate smooth market access and reimbursement processes.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, medical, and regulatory teams to ensure alignment on market access initiatives and commercial objectives.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to ensure that  pricing and market access strategies are competitive and robust.
  • Represent the company's position on market access and pricing to relevant policy bodies, ensuring that  interests are represented in local healthcare policy discussions.
  •  Lead and mentor a small team of market access and pricing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous development.

To be successful, you will  have:

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Health Economics, Pharmacy or related discipline
  • A proven track record within Market Access, Pricing Strategy and Reimbursement within the ANZ pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated experience with successful cost effective and cost minimisation submissions
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
